چکیده
In this work we explore in detail the presence of scalar resonances $WW$ fusion process context LHC experiments working theoretical framework provided by Higgs Effective Field Theories (HEFT). While phenomenology vector is reasonably understood Weinberg sum-rules and unitarization studies, are a lot less constrained and, more importantly do depend on HEFT low-energy effective couplings different from ones resoances that difficult to constrain experimentally. More specifically, techniques combined with requirement causality allows us set non-trivial bounds self-interactions. This due need considering coupled channels case along process. As byproduct, can gain some relevant information sector $WW\to WW$ elastic processes without needing consider two production.

Resonances in Coupled-Channel Scattering
Excited hadrons are seen as resonances in the scattering of lighter stable hadrons like π , K and η . Many decay into multiple final states necessitating coupled-channel analyses. Recently it has become possible to obtain coupled-channel scattering amplitudes from lattice QCD. Using large diverse bases of operators it is possible to obtain reliable finite volume spectra at energies where multip...
متن کاملScalar resonances in leptophilic multi-Higgs-boson models
The study of electroweak symmetry breaking is one of the main goals of future colliders. The Higgs boson coupling to fermions is proportional to the fermion mass and hence the s-channel Higgs contribution to e1e2→ f f̄ is highly suppressed in electron-positron colliders. However, since muons are nearly 200 times heavier than electrons, it is usually considered in the literature that the s-channe...
متن کاملWeak boson scattering in Gauge-Higgs Unification
The scattering amplitude for the longitudinal weak bosons is investigated in the SU(3) gauge-Higgs unification as a function of the scattering energy, the Wilson line phase θH and the warp factor. The θH-dependence of the amplitude is quite different in the flat and the warped spacetimes. Generically the amplitude is enhanced for θH = O(1) in the warped case while it is almost independent of θH...
متن کاملTaming the scalar mass problem with a singlet Higgs boson.
We investigate the fine-tuning problem in the Standard Model and show that Higgs boson and top quark masses consistent with current experimental bounds cannot be obtained unless one extends the particle spectrum. A minimal extension which achieves this involves addition of a singlet real scalar and one generation of vectorlike fermions. We show that this leads to a phenomenologically viable pre...
متن کاملObservable Consequences of a Scalar Boson Coupled Only to Neutrinos
We have examined the consequences of assuming the existence of a light scalar boson, weakly coupled to neutrinos, and not coupled to any other light fermions. For a range of parameters, we find that this hypothesis leads to the development of neutrino clusters which form in the early Universe and which provide gravitational fluctuations on scales small compared to a parsec (i.e., the scale of s...
